Degeberga-Everöd Parish is looking for summer substitute caretakers for the summer of 2026.

The role of caretaker includes tasks such as lawn mowing, trimming, weeding, hedge trimming, and watering, among others. In addition to regular cemetery work, property maintenance tasks such as cleaning and simple painting are also included.

You will be part of a friendly, experienced, and competent team consisting of 15 employees, including five regular caretakers. The parish has eight churches and ten cemeteries where you may work at several of them.

Qualifications

As you will be in contact with cemetery visitors, you need to be open, empathetic, and accommodating. The work otherwise requires initiative, precision, responsibility, teamwork, and good physical fitness as the work primarily takes place outdoors.

Previous experience in the maintenance of cemeteries, parks, or similar green space maintenance is an advantage, as well as familiarity with machinery. We also place great importance on personal suitability.

Working hours

Weekdays Monday-Friday 07:00-15:30

Requirements

A minimum class B driver's license and access to your own car is a requirement. You need to have obtained your driver's license by the date of the job interview.
